Sustainability through R³
The world is taking action. The Ocean Cleanup and many other organizations are recovering tons of waste materials from the oceans, lakes, rivers, and other indirect sources.
But this is just step 1 on the road to recovery. Step 2 is what happens to the materials. Sadly much of what is recovered that can be recycled often still finds its way to the landfill. This is because these processed materials can be challenging to reuse due to altered chemical properties. The exact alterations vary by material thus makes processing them more expensive then their virgin material counterparts.
Our mission is to develop useful products that can be produced using a minimum of 70% recovered material with a endgame of 100% recovery.
